Tourist Tater
*This statue was removed and decommissioned early in the campaign after concerns were raised that its design was racially insensitive.*
Today
Today, all that remains of Tourist Tater’s original design is the mouth. After the statue was decommissioned, the original artist, Kathy Szarko chose to keep this piece. It was later found among items from her estate and eventually made its way to Candy’s Curiosities Oddities Shop. The mouth is now safely preserved in the hands of a private collector.
Although the whereabouts of the original fiberglass statue are unknown, it is clear that its original appearance has since been altered.
